Director of Finance Coppell, TX Compensation:
$180-200K + Bonus One of Vaco's larger, privately-held clients is looking to onboard a Director of Finance to serve as a strategic finance leader responsible for overseeing enterprise-wide financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance management processes. This role partners closely with executive leadership and business unit finance teams to develop consolidated financial plans, deliver actionable insights, and drive alignment between operational strategies and financial objectives. It's a financially stable environment with folks that have routinely been there 10, 20, sometimes 30 years that's undergoing transformation across different teams - focused on streamlining and increasing visibility across different channels. Vaco placed someone on the finance team late last year and she's quite happy. The Role Lead the annual budgeting process across all business units, functions, and corporate departments. Own the company's consolidated forecasting process, including monthly, quarterly, and long-range financial forecasts. Develop and maintain integrated financial models to support enterprise-wide planning and scenario analysis. Establish planning assumptions, timelines, and governance processes to ensure consistency and accuracy across the organization. Coordinate planning activities with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Sales, Human Resources, and executive leadership teams. Prepare consolidated financial forecasts, budgets, and management reporting packages for executive leadership and the Board of Directors. Deliver comprehensive analysis of revenue, profitability, operating expenses, cash flow, and key business drivers. Develop executive dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting frameworks that improve visibility into business results. Partner with executive leadership to evaluate strategic initiatives, investments, acquisitions, and growth opportunities. Perform financial modeling, sensitivity analysis, and scenario planning to support key business decisions. Provide financial insights regarding pricing strategies, margin improvement initiatives, cost optimization efforts, and capital allocation decisions. Translate complex financial data into clear business recommendations for executive stakeholders. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Drive standardization and enhancement of planning processes, forecasting methodologies, and reporting capabilities. Prepare financial presentations, forecasts, and analyses for executive leadership, lenders, investors, and Board meetings. Communicate key financial trends, business performance drivers, and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders. Support earnings preparation, investor communications, and external financial reporting initiatives, as applicable. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required. MBA preferred. CPA, CFA, or other relevant professional designation is a plus. 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, or related disciplines. 5+ years of leadership experience managing FP&A teams and enterprise planning processes. =============== Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
