Job Description:
The ODA Group has partnered with a family investment office in search of a Controller. The company has $45 million in revenue and invests in real estate, energy and manufacturing. This person would work directly with the Managing Partner and oversee a team of three.
Duties include:
Oversee and maintain the organization's accounting principles, practices and procedures. Oversee day-to-day accounting function. Prepare and evaluate budgets and other financial operating reports. Analyze financial results, and utilize financial metrics to identify trends, opportunities and actionable items. Prepare financial reporting package and presents findings and recommendations to senior leadership. Ensures books and records are accurate and closed in a timely manner on a monthly basis. Liaison with outside tax preparers. Maintain proper compliance with regulations and regulatory reporting indicative to company's particular industry Evaluate and setup outside vendors Hire, lead and develop a team of three direct reports. Participates in special project and/or completes other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required. MBA or CPA preferred A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment. 7+ years related accounting experience (public accounting and/or family office experience highly desired). 2+ years related experience as an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or similar. QuickBooks software experience a plus
