Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Controller (with SOX experience) to lead the financial performance and accounting activities for a manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, Texas. This role partners closely with plant leadership to strengthen cost visibility, support sound business decisions, and maintain accurate reporting across operations. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in manufacturing finance, including cost accounting, inventory oversight, budgeting, and forecasting, along with the ability to build disciplined controls in a fast-paced environment.
NOTE:
Only candidates with SOX experience will be considered.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct financial oversight for plant operations, including accounting, cost analysis, revenue tracking, inventory valuation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Attend regular operational meetings to identify production issues, assess financial impact, and provide timely guidance to leadership.
  • Design and enhance planning and analysis processes that improve responsiveness, accuracy, and long-term scalability of the plant's finance function.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures related to budgeting, cash handling, credit practices, and core accounting activities.
  • Advise the plant manager and senior leaders on financial performance, capital spending decisions, and opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
  • Lead monthly close activities and contribute to plant business review discussions with clear, accurate financial insights.
  • Ensure reporting practices meet applicable local, state, and federal financial compliance requirements.
  • Prepare quarterly projections and develop the annual operating budget for the facility.
