This is a rare opportunity to shape cardiovascular care delivery across a nationally recognized, mission-driven academic health system—serving a diverse and rapidly growing community inSan Antonio.

Position SummaryThe Vice President of Cardiovascular Services providesstrategic leadership and executive oversightfor the heart and vascular service line across the full continuum of care.

This includes:

Cardiac SurgeryInterventional & Diagnostic CardiologyElectrophysiologyVascular ServicesNon-Invasive CardiologyOutpatient & Ambulatory ServicesThis executive leader is accountable for:

Drivingstrategic growth and market expansionAligning cardiovascular services withorganizational prioritiesLeadingservice line innovation and transformationEnsuringfinancial performance and operational excellenceAdvancingquality outcomes, patient safety, and patient experienceThe VP partners closely withhospital executives, physician leadership, and community stakeholdersto position University Health as thepremier destination for cardiovascular carein the region.

Key Leadership ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute acomprehensive cardiovascular service line strategyLeadprogram development and service expansionacross inpatient and outpatient settingsDriveclinical excellence and performance improvement initiativesOverseefinancial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysisCollaborate with physicians to strengthenalignment and program growthImplementdata-driven decision-makingusing market and operational analyticsDevelop and executemarketing and outreach strategiesto grow patient volumeMonitor local and national cardiovascular trends to ensurecompetitive positioningQualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Nursing(required)Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field(strongly preferred)Minimum10 years of progressive leadership experiencein cardiovascular services or hospital administrationDemonstrated success inoperational, financial, and strategic leadershipLicensureCurrentRegistered Nurse (RN)license in the State of TexasCurrentBasic Life Support (BLS/CPR)certificationWhy University Health?
