Assistant Controller - Multi-Entity, Project-Based Environment A growing, diversified organization is seeking an Assistant Controller to support accounting operations across multiple business lines within a complex, project-driven environment. This role offers broad exposure to financial operations, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration within a dynamic and evolving business. Why This Opportunity Stands Out Multi-entity environment with exposure to project-based accounting Opportunity to help standardize processes and strengthen internal controls High-impact role supporting improvements to close timelines and reporting accuracy Cross-functional interaction with operations, project teams, and leadership Exposure to diverse revenue streams and operational workflows What You'll Do Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including A/P processes and close activities Prepare and analyze financial statements, forecasts, and cash flow reporting Review project-related accounting to ensure proper cost allocation, revenue recognition, and expense classification Support budgeting and forecasting processes; deliver monthly variance analysis Review and approve payment cycles, ensuring accuracy in coding, timing, and compliance Maintain and support systems related to contracts, vendors, timekeeping, and expenses Strengthen internal controls and ensure alignment across accounting processes Partner with internal stakeholders to support financial decision-making Assist with process improvements and operational efficiencies Support development and training of accounting staff What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience Prior experience in a multi-entity or project-based environment preferred Background in industries such as construction, manufacturing, or services is a plus Experience with ERP systems and financial tools Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
