Job Description
Our client, a well-known multi-unit restaurant organization, is seeking an Interim Director of Finance to step in and support the finance function during a period of transaction activity and leadership transition. This is a hands-on role for a consultant who can operate independently, get up to speed quickly, and work comfortably alongside executive leadership. Client name will be shared with candidates under consideration.
What You'll Be DoingOwn the monthly and quarterly close process, including variance analysis and reporting to leadershipLead budget preparation and rolling forecasts, partnering with operations and unit-level leadershipSupport active M&A work on both the buy side and sell side, including due diligence, data room preparation, quality of earnings support, and integration planningBuild and maintain financial models supporting deal analysis, scenario planning, and long-range planningDeliver management reporting packages and present results, risks, and recommendations to senior leadershipPartner cross-functionally with accounting, operations, and outside advisors throughout the transaction processIdentify and implement process improvements across reporting, forecasting, and close
