POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate Vice President for Enrollment (AVP) provides strategic and operational leadership forTexas College's student recruitment, admissions, enrollment development, and enrollment-conversion activities. Reporting to the VicePresident for Enrollment, Student Success & Institutional Strategy, the AVP serves as the senior operational enrollment leader responsiblefor translating institutional enrollment strategy into measurable execution. The position provides leadership across the recruitment funnel,from prospect generation through application, admission, financial-aid completion, enrollment, registration, and matriculation. The AVPworks across institutional divisions to remove barriers that prevent students from enrolling or returning to Texas College. The AVPwill develop enrollment pipelines among transfer, adult, online, international, stop-out, and other strategically important studentpopulations. The successful candidate will be an enrollment leader who combines relationship-based recruitment with disciplined use of data,technology, market intelligence, and accountability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Enrollment Strategy &Execution. Implement the comprehensive enrollment strategy established in collaboration with the Vice President and President; translateannual enrollment goals into recruitment, application, admission, yield, registration, and matriculation targets; develop enrollment plansby student population, geography, academic program, and recruitment channel; monitor performance against goals and intervene when resultsfall behind expectations; and provide the Vice President with regular forecasts identifying opportunities, risks, and required action. Recruitment & Admissions Leadership. Provide direct operational leadership for undergraduate recruitment and admissions; establish clearexpectations and performance metrics for admissions personnel; develop territory plans and counselor-level recruitment goals; strengthenhigh-school and community-college recruitment; oversee recruitment travel, school visits, college fairs, campus visits, recruitment events,and yield activities; and ensure timely, student-centered processing of applications and admissions decisions. Enrollment Funnel &Conversion Management. Establish active management of the complete enrollment funnel, including inquiry, prospect, applicant, admitted,deposited/committed, FAFSA completion, financial-aid packaging, registration, and enrolled status. Identify students stalled at each stage,assign follow-up responsibility, and ensure timely intervention. The AVP will work closely with Financial Aid, Registrar, Business Office,Housing, Athletics, Academic Affairs, and Student Affairs to address barriers affecting enrollment. Transfer, Adult & OnlineEnrollment. Develop recruitment pipelines with community colleges and other transfer partners; strengthen articulation and institutionalpartnership opportunities; expand outreach to adult learners, returning students, degree completers, and working adults; support enrollmentgrowth for online and alternative-delivery academic programs; and work with Academic Affairs to align recruitment strategies with marketdemand and program capacity.
The position will:
Maintain accurate enrollment funnels and recruitmentpipelines within institutional systems; Ensure appropriate utilization of the College's CRM, SIS, and related enrollmenttechnologies; Establish counselor and team dashboards with measurable weekly and monthly expectations; Monitor applications,admits, FAFSA completion, financial-aid packaging, registration, melt, and enrollment conversion; Develop enrollment projections andscenario analyses for the Vice President; Conduct regular data-quality reviews and resolve discrepancies with appropriateinstitutional offices; Evaluate recruitment sources, territories, events, campaigns, partnerships, and vendors based on measurablereturn; Ensure that student records and recruitment activities are documented consistently and accurately; and Reducereliance on disconnected spreadsheets and manual processes where institutional systems can provide a more sustainable solution.
FIRST YEAR PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Success should be evaluated through measurable outcomes including growth innew-student enrollment; improved application-to-admit and admit-to-enroll conversion; increased FAFSA and financial-aid completion amongadmitted students; reduction in enrollment melt; increased transfer, adult, online, and re-enrolled student populations; measurableexpansion of East Texas/Ark-La-Tex pipelines; stronger community-college and high-school partnerships; improved CRM utilization and dataintegrity; improved enrollment forecasting; and demonstrated accountability among recruitment personnel.
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree from an accredited institution; progressively responsible experience in admissions, recruitment,enrollment management, or a closely related higher-education area; demonstrated experience supervising enrollment personnel; demonstratedsuccess developing and executing recruitment strategies; experience using enrollment data, CRM/SIS technology, and performance metrics;demonstrated ability to collaborate across institutional divisions; excellent written, verbal, presentation, and relationship-developmentskills; and ability to travel and work evenings/weekends during critical recruitment periods.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in enrollment leadership at an HBCU, small private college, tuition-dependent institution, or similarly enrollment-sensitiveinstitution; demonstrated enrollment growth; significant knowledge of East Texas and/or the Ark-La-Tex higher-education market; experiencewith Jenzabar and Salesforce or comparable systems; experience developing transfer and community-college partnerships; experience withadult, online, international, and stop-out populations; experience developing institution-wide strategic enrollment management initiatives;and demonstrated success improving enrollment processes and conversion.
