What You'll Do Lead the charge in timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting Break down financials and translate them into real-world insights for leadership Ensure accurate accounting across departments (the details matter!) Oversee inventory valuation and keep financial records sharp and reliable Partner with external corporate accountants on tax prep, Agreed Upon Procedure (AUP) reviews, and key financial matters Guide decisions on insurance programs and risk management Lead and support an awesome team including the Controller, Accounting Specialist, IT Specialist, Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialists, Purchasing Specialist, and Payroll/HR Clerk. Deliver a weekly financial snapshot to the CEO and Executive Team —clear, concise, and actionable Help shape the future by aligning annual financial goals with company strategy and values Model and uphold the Core Values of Saunders Brothers. Support the team and organization with additional duties as needed What You Bring to the Table A strong foundation in financial accounting & reporting : demonstrated expertise in preparing, analyzing, and communicating accurate financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Experience in
Financial Planning & Analysis:
strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, expense management, and cash flow analysis to support strategic decision-making and growth. A knack for risk management and internal controls: ability to identify financial risks, strengthen internal controls, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Comfort with ERP systems, Excel wizardry, and Microsoft Office tools: advanced experience with ERP systems, spreadsheets (including advanced Excel functions), and the Microsoft Office suite. Communicate clearly : strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, leadership, and ownership while leading and developing a high-performing finance team. Your Background & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business (highly preferred) Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in accounting/finance (highly preferred) Minimum of five (5) years leading and developing a team CPA? Not required, but definitely a plus. Tax experience? Even better. Organizational skills, flexibility, and prioritization skills are a must.

Schedule & Work Environment:
This is a full-time, year-round position. Standard office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 30-60 minute lunch break. Additional hours may be required during peak periods. To ensure timely financial reporting, time off is generally limited during tax season and at the beginning of reporting periods.
Supervisor :
This position will answer directly to the Chief Executive Officer of Saunders Brothers.
