Controller

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Tappahannock, Virginia. This role is pivotal in managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate and timely accounting processes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in cost accounting, financial reporting, and oversight of key accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage cost accounting operations, including the analysis of manufacturing costs.
• Prepare and review financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures to maintain timely financial reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger for accurate recordkeeping.
• Analyze and report on key financial metrics to support decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and internal controls.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve overall efficiency.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, encouraging attention to detail and continuous growth.
