Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Plant Controller to provide onsite financial leadership for a manufacturing operation in Burlington, Wisconsin. This Contract position will work closely with plant leadership to strengthen financial performance, support informed business decisions, and reinforce disciplined operational controls. The role is well suited for a hands-on finance specialist who can translate complex data into practical recommendations and help improve profitability, efficiency, and working capital results. This role is fully onsite, 5 days a week.
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver clear financial updates to site leadership, highlighting business performance, revenue movement, and major cost trends.
  • Evaluate results against budgets, forecasts, and historical performance to identify gaps, explain drivers, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Advise operational and management teams with financial analysis that supports planning, investment decisions, and day-to-day execution.
  • Establish and monitor performance indicators that help improve spending, inventory management, cash utilization, and operating efficiency.
  • Lead recurring financial reviews and turn findings into practical actions that strengthen cost control and business results.
  • Contribute to margin enhancement and expense reduction efforts by identifying opportunities for operational and financial improvement.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders on sourcing evaluations, capital spending reviews, inventory decisions, and profitability analysis.
  • Oversee standard costing activities, annual cost updates, and physical inventory processes to maintain accurate manufacturing financials.
  • Complete special analyses and project-based financial work as business needs evolve.
  • Coordinate with corporate accounting partners to uphold compliance, reporting accuracy, and effective internal controls.
