This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone in finance who can maintain accurate records, strengthen internal controls, and guide day-to-day operational accounting and reporting processes. The role calls for someone who combines technical accounting knowledge with a hands-on approach to maintaining financial integrity and operational consistency.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily accounting activities to ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with established standards. Direct bookkeeping operations, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and review of general ledger activity. Monitor internal accounting controls and recommend improvements that enhance compliance, accuracy, and efficiency. Prepare and review financial statements and supporting reports for leadership and key stakeholders. Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and reliable reporting. Support audits and regulatory reviews by organizing documentation and addressing accounting-related inquiries. Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and improve overall reporting quality. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential desired but not required. Demonstrated experience in controller-level accounting oversight or comparable financial leadership responsibilities. Strong background in operational accounting functions, including reconciliations, ledger maintenance, and financial record review. Solid knowledge of accounting controls and best practices for maintaining accurate financial reporting. Ability to interpret financial data, identify inconsistencies, and implement corrective actions. Proficiency in preparing financial statements and managing closing activities with a high degree of accuracy. Strong organizational and communication skills, leadership and prior process improvement.
