Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Controller. This pivotal role involves overseeing accounting functions, financial reporting, job cost accounting, budgeting, cash flow management, and maintaining strong internal controls. Duties Oversee all accounting functions, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and financial reporting. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Manage month-end and year-end close processes. Monitor job costing, Work-in-Progress (WIP), project profitability, and revenue recognition. Develop budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections. Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies. Coordinate annual audits and work with external CPA firms. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy. Support project managers by providing accurate financial forecasts and ensuring timely completion of all financial documentation. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA preferred. Five or more years of progressive accounting experience, with construction accounting experience preferred. Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis. Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects efficiently. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and construction accounting software such as Sage or similar ERP systems. Extensive knowledge of construction management software like ProCore for project documentation and collaboration. Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgets, contracts, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
