full-time Controller (43017) Our client is an organization in the Milwaukee area that's looking for a Controller. This company is looking for someone with 8+ years of experience, who is motivated, and has excellent communication skills. This company offers a competitive benefits, a collaborative culture, and a strong, tenured team. This position is onsite. The salary for this job is $160k - $185k. The Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Own end-to-end transactional accounting operations, including AP, AR, billing, collections, payroll accounting, cash management, etc. Manage account reconciliations across inventory, accruals, and intercompany accounts, resolving variances timely and maintaining a complete reconciliation process Optimize working capital through effective management of payables, receivables, DSO, cash application, and treasury operations Design, document, and maintain scalable internal controls over transactional processes to support audit readiness, compliance, and future growth Serve as a key audit contact for transactional and balance sheet areas, supporting external audits, compliance reporting, and transactional tax matters Lead accounting integration for acquisitions, including AP/AR/payroll/GL onboarding, chart of accounts mapping, and systems alignment Lead, develop, and scale the transactional accounting team while improving processes, documenting SOPs, and driving automation The Controller will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller-level experience leading transactional accounting operations Demonstrated experience building and maintaining scalable internal controls and supporting external audits Strong ERP, systems, process improvement, and automation experience; exposure to multiple ERPs preferred Proven leadership experience managing accounting teams, with strong communication skills and the ability to partner across finance and non-finance teams Equal Opportunity Employer The compensation philosophy reflects the Company's reasonable expectation at the time of posting.
