Direct line to CFO and Ownership Succession planning hire About Our Client A respected manufacturing company is seeking a Controller to oversee accounting operations and provide financial leadership to the organization. This role will be responsible for financial reporting, team management, budgeting, cost accounting, compliance, and operational analysis. The Controller will serve as a key member of the leadership team, providing financial insight that supports both daily operations and long-term business objectives. Job Description Direct all accounting activities and oversee day-to-day financial operations Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff Ensure the timely and accurate completion of financial reporting requirements Maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures Provide financial guidance to leadership on business performance and operational initiatives Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Analyze financial results and communicate key business trends Develop reporting tools and metrics that improve visibility into company performance Support presentations and reporting for lenders, ownership, and executive leadership Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes Oversee cost accounting activities and profitability analysis Monitor capital expenditures and fixed asset management Support inventory accounting and related operational controls Evaluate business opportunities through financial modeling and analysis Coordinate external audits and respond to auditor requests Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations Review accounting workflows and implement process improvements Evaluate systems, reporting capabilities, and process automation opportunities MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
