Bonus Type:
Full-time; permanent We are partnering with a growing medical device manufacturer in Oak Creek, WI, to identify aController to lead the accounting function and serve as a key financial partner. This is an opportunity to step into a highly visible role and build out a team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of technical accounting, financial leadership, and manufacturing experience, along with the ability to improve processes and build a strong finance team. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee the company's accounting and finance function Own and improve the month-end and financial close process Oversee financial reporting, account reconciliations, and variance analysis Lead budgeting and forecasting activities Partner with operations and sales on margin analysis, costing, and profitability Oversee inventory accounting, cycle counts, and obsolete inventory management Strengthen internal controls and support annual audit activities Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast and provide actionable insights to leadership Oversee preparation of financial statements, management reporting, and other required financial reports Lead and develop the accounting team while helping build out the broader finance organization Partner with the President/CEO and leadership team on financial planning and long-term business strategy Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, controls, and reporting capabilities Support costing initiatives and ensure accurate financial information is available to drive profitability Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience Previous experience leading or overseeing an accounting/finance team Strong experience with month-end close and financial reporting Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning Manufacturing experience strongly preferred Experience with cost accounting, standard costing, inventory, and margin analysis preferred Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills Ability to operate effectively as both a hands-on accounting leader and strategic business partner
