$100,000-$115,000 base + performance bonus | Target total cash comp $110,000-$132,000 About the Role Biztec LLC is seeking an experienced, CPA-licensed Controller to lead our accounting and finance function. As the company's top accounting professional, you'll own the full accounting cycle — from daily operations through financial reporting — and serve as a trusted financial advisor to ownership and leadership. This role is central to a project-based, service-driven business. You'll oversee job costing and project profitability across our security installations, manage progress billing and recurring monitoring revenue, ensure clean and compliant financials, and put the systems and controls in place to support Biztec's growth. It's an ideal opportunity for a hands-on Controller who combines technical accounting expertise with practical business insight. What You'll Do Oversee all accounting operations, including the general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, and month-, quarter-, and year-end close. Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Manage job costing and project accounting, including work-in-progress (WIP) and percentage-of-completion reporting across installation projects. Oversee progress billing, project invoicing, and recurring monitoring revenue (RMR) accounting. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management. Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures. Manage tax compliance and coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax preparers. Produce financial analysis, KPIs, and reporting to guide ownership and leadership decisions. Manage banking, credit, and surety bonding relationships as needed. Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff. Support project managers and operations with cost tracking, margin analysis, and financial insight. What You Bring Required Active CPA license. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a controller, assistant controller, or accounting-management role. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Experience with job costing, WIP, and percentage-of-completion accounting (project- or construction-based). Proficiency with accounting/ERP software and advanced Excel skills. Proven leadership, organization, and communication skills. High level of integrity and attention to detail. Preferred Experience in construction, low-voltage, security integration, or another project-based industry. Familiarity with recurring-revenue (RMR) accounting. Experience with ERP or PSA platforms used in the integration industry. Experience managing surety bonding and lender relationships. CMA or other relevant certifications. Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $100,000-$115,000, commensurate with experience and CPA tenure.
Annual performance bonus:
10-15% of base at target, tied to close accuracy and timeliness, budget and forecast accuracy, job-costing and margin visibility, clean audit and tax filings, and cash-flow targets — target total cash compensation of $110,000-$132,000.
