Job Description:
About the Role Our client is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to provide critical support to Underwriters throughout the underwriting process. This role involves reviewing new and renewal business, approving policy changes, and managing account activities to ensure smooth operations and compliance with underwriting standards. Key Responsibilities Support Underwriters with risk analysis and underwriting decisions within defined limits. Review submissions, conduct vulnerability scanning, and complete ransomware application checks. Prepare quotes and documentation in line with underwriting guidelines. Confirm pricing and binding conditions are met. Maintain strong broker and client relationships, serving as the first point of contact for inquiries. Ensure compliance with underwriting controls and service level agreements. Attend training sessions and contribute to team meetings. What We're Looking For Proven administrative experience, ideally within insurance or financial services. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks. Proficiency in MS Office and accurate data entry skills. Previous experience as an Underwriting Assistant is advantageous. Personal Attributes Results-driven, self-motivated, and flexible. Professional approach with strong relationship-building skills.
