The Sr PS Tech supports Group Benefit Operations and receives daily incoming medical underwriting (MUW) and statutory disability mail and is responsible for distributing documents for workflow to multiple departments. Handles administrative tasks related to Pulse and Personal Health Applications (PHA's) within the medical underwriting space.
Responsibilities:
Collects, opens and sorts documents received via mail and ACE for MUW, Premium, Stat, Small Business Center, Banking Revenue and Control (BRC) & Producer Performs scanning and validation of PHA's and supporting documents into KOFAX for filing Responsible for MUW Applicant and Policyholder Returned mail Tracks Non-Compliant PHAs received in MUW Processes all types of statutory related mail and performs scanning and validation of letters into FileNet Corrects errors during visual inspection with an emphasis on accuracy and completeness Maintains accurate records
Qualifications:
1 year experience preferred providing exceptional customer service Ability to work with speed and high level of accuracy in production environment Consistently demonstrates a high level of energy, and resilience in handling high volumes Detail oriented and consistently demonstrates follow-through Proven organizational abilities for a fluctuating and multi tasked environment Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with others Strong motivation to consistently deliver prescribed services and tasks associated with responsibilities Flexibility and teamwork required Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office and ability to learn internal systems Consistently exceeds quality and production objectives Ability to work with minimal supervision Seeks self-development opportunities. Applies new learning's and changes to all related tasks. Demonstrates skills in using the various automation tools to process Plan Sponsor assigned technical tasks according to established processing procedures Keeps current on changes to processing guidelines Demonstrates proficiency in using Planned Sponsor reference materials and resources Demonstrates a working knowledge of general insurance concepts and terms Compensation The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is: $46,222
