GENERAL SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lines CSR to act as the primary point of contact for our business clients. You will be responsible for providing exceptional service, managing policy renewals, processing endorsements, and handling daily inquiries with professionalism and speed.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Account Servicing:
Handle day-to-day service needs, including issuing Certificates of Insurance (COI), binders, auto ID cards, and evidence of property.
Policy Management:
Process endorsements, renewals, and cancellations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in the agency management system (e.g., Epic).
Client Relationship Management:
Actively engage with clients to answer coverage questions, resolve billing discrepancies, and ensure high retention rates.
Marketing & Renewals:
Collaborate with Producers to market renewal business, gather underwriting data, and prepare proposals.
Risk Assessment:
Review audits and policies for accuracy, advising clients on coverage exposures. Regular and reliable attendance. Assists with other job-related duties as assigned by manager. Communicate effectively in-person and otherwise with all coworkers and customers, both during regular business hours and before and after regular business hours, if necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of insurance products and services. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Agency Software. Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner. Ability to multi-task, and function as a team player. Ability to work with accuracy, organization, and attention to detail. Ability to operate various office machines including switchboard, adding machine, copy machine, etc. Ability to cross-sell insurance products.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Active Property & Casualty Insurance License (Required). Minimum 1-2 years of commercial lines insurance agency experience. Proficiency in agency management systems (Epic) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong knowledge of commercial coverages (General Liability, Property, Workers' Comp, Auto). Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
