Job Description

About the Role CCIS is looking for a Surety Renewal Agent to manage and retain an established book of contractor bond customers. This is a production-focused sales and account management position. You will work with existing CCIS customers to manage upcoming bond renewals, communicate renewal requirements and pricing, collect payments, and guide customers through completing their renewal. Previous surety experience is not required. We provide product-specific training and licensing support. We're looking for someone who communicates well, learns quickly, stays organized, and is motivated by measurable goals and earning potential. Success in this role is driven by retention, production, and account growth . You'll work with an established customer base and have the opportunity to increase your earnings through an uncapped performance-based commission program. What You'll Do Manage a high-volume pipeline of upcoming surety bond renewals Proactively contact existing customers before their renewal dates Communicate renewal pricing, requirements, and payment options Review customer and bond information to determine what is needed to complete the renewal Prepare and process bond renewals accurately and efficiently Collect payments and complete required renewal transactions Work with surety carrier partners when additional information or underwriting review is required Follow up consistently with customers to drive completed renewals Identify and address obstacles that could prevent a customer from renewing Identify opportunities for General Liability insurance, Workers' Compensation insurance, and additional surety products Assist with renewal conversations across CCIS product lines when needed Maintain accurate customer, bond, renewal, and activity records Meet defined retention, production, and performance goals What We're Looking For Previous surety experience is not required. Experience in insurance, sales, account management, customer retention, financial services, or another high-volume customer-facing environment is preferred.
You should also have:
Strong sales, retention, and relationship-building skills Excellent follow-up and organizational habits Ability to manage a high volume of customer interactions and transactions Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfort working toward measurable production goals Ability to prioritize work in a deadline-driven environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to learn new products, underwriting concepts, and technology California Property and Casualty license preferred Candidates without an active Property and Casualty license must be willing to obtain one. CCIS provides licensing support.
Compensation Base Pay:
$22-$30 per hour, based on experience
Commission:
Performance-based and uncapped
Annual Commission Potential:
Approximately $24,000-$40,000+ based on production
Overtime:
Paid as applicable Strong performers have the opportunity to earn above the stated commission range. Schedule & Work Environment This is a full-time position based in our Sacramento office.
