As a vital part of our team, you will be provided sufficient training to assist in evaluating and pricing property/casualty assumed reinsurance as well as other necessary functions of the underwriting department. We have a hybrid work environment that combines remote work with in-office responsibilities, designed to support efficient operations while providing workplace connections. Responsibilities Apply your understanding of insurance exposures, coverages, and policy forms to new and renewal business. Input reinsurance submissions into the reinsurance pricing model and communicate results. Assist with the ongoing review and documentation of accounts, including financial performance. Update reinsurance software for terms and conditions of bound contracts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting, claims, and underwriting, to ensure consistency in risk evaluation and renewal. Maintain thorough documentation of underwriting decisions, risk assessments, and other correspondence in compliance with company standards. Additional underwriting functions and duties as needed and assigned. Participate in the ongoing development of the underwriting department and organization. Qualifications Bachelor's degree, preferably in insurance, business, or related. Proven relevant experience in property/casualty insurance or reinsurance, preferably in underwriting or related insurance services role. Proficiency with general computer skills and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.). Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional etiquette for written, verbal, and interpersonal communications with external parties as well as working cross-functionally with other staff. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a hybrid work environment. Ability to learn quickly, monitor work product, and take ownership of work performed, including high attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
