Job Description
Underwriting Analyst Intern Location:
Murray, Utah (In Office Position) Candidates outside of Utah will not be considered. 30-40 Hours Per Week | Flexible Schedule | Hourly Position Why Join Us? EMI Health is looking for an Underwriting Analyst Intern to join our team in Murray. This internship is a great opportunity for a college student or recent graduate interested in underwriting, analytics, or the health insurance industry. You'll gain hands on experience, work with experienced professionals, and help support real business projects in a collaborative environment. This internship is expected to last up to 6 months. Why You'll Love It Here Hands on experience in underwriting and financial analysis Opportunity to build industry knowledge and professional skills Exposure to reporting, rating models, and data analysis Flexible schedule to support school and work balance Supportive team environment with opportunities to learn and grow What You'll Do Review individual and group insurance applications Use rating models to enter and analyze financial risk information Review client information for new and existing business Communicate with internal teams and clients regarding insurance quotes Prepare and review underwriting and actuarial reports Assist with additional underwriting and analytical projects as needed What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in progress or completed in actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, business, or a related field Strong computer skills and Microsoft Excel experience preferred Knowledge of computer programming is a plus Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Able to work independently and as part of a team Self-motivated with strong time management skills EMI Health is an equal opportunity employer as defined by the EEOC.Similar remote jobs
