Description Under the supervision of the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine (ICOM) Director of Financial Aid, the Financial Aid Coordinator will support the Office of Financial Aid in delivering financial aid information to current and prospective students from application through the student lifecycle and beyond graduation. This position will be responsible for all aspects of student financial aid administration including reviewing Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) and financial aid applications records to determine eligibility for aid, packaging student aid, sending financial aid notifications, processing loans and other aid, all while ensuring compliance with institutional, state, and federal requirements and regulations. Administer Title IV aid in compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations; maintain required records. Resolve discrepancies in student data. Provide financial literacy education through presentations, workshops, and orientations for students. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial aid laws, regulations, and policies; contribute to process improvements. Advise and assist students with federal, state, institutional, and external financial aid options, eligibility, and application processes. Review financial aid applications, verify information, and determine student eligibility; prepare aid notifications. Monitor students' Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) and aid eligibility; assist with Return to Title IV calculations as needed. Counsel students on financial aid matters, including exit counseling for withdrawn, suspended, or dismissed students. Oversee student communication, ensuring consistent messaging through regular contact, updates, and financial literacy education. Document policies and procedures (P&P), review and update website content, emails, communications, and institutional forms as needed. Support campus events and student services; refer students to additional resources as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned.

None.Requirements Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, business, higher education, or related discipline) required, plus at least 2 years of related experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial aid, higher education administration, accounting, or regulatory compliance. Experience in financial aid at an Osteopathic or Allopathic Medical College is preferred.Skills & Abilities:
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and institutional financial aid laws, regulations, and procedures. Proficient in technology and multiple information systems to support efficient financial aid operations. Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data evaluation abilities. Detail-oriented with high accuracy, organization, and planning skills under pressure. Team-oriented with a collaborative approach and commitment to diversity and inclusion. Ability to conduct research, interpret regulations, and resolve complex financial aid issues. Skilled in program coordination, event planning, and managing multiple priorities. Demonstrates sound judgment, diplomacy, discretion, and respect for confidentiality. Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic environment and changing federal requirements. Maintains professionalism, high energy, and enthusiasm while handling challenging situations.
