Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Optometrist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans. Your expertise will help improve patients' quality of life through precise eye examinations, personalized recommendations, and exceptional patient care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough eye examinations utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to assess visual acuity, ocular health, and overall eye function. Diagnose and manage a wide range of eye conditions related to ophthalmology, including refractive errors, glaucoma, and ocular diseases. Prescribe corrective lenses and contact lenses tailored to each patient's needs; educate patients on proper lens care and usage. Maintain accurate medical records using paper charts while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, to develop personalized treatment plans that promote optimal eye health. Stay current with advancements in physiology knowledge, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques to deliver high-quality patient care. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient concerns, explaining procedures clearly, and fostering a welcoming environment. Assist in sales activities related to optical products while adhering to medical coding standards for billing purposes. Qualifications Valid state license to practice as an Optometrist with active certification. Proven experience in ophthalmology or optometry practice; optical experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to the eye and visual system. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards diverse populations, including pediatric patients. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs assessment, and aseptic techniques necessary for safe clinical practice. Ability to perform comprehensive eye exams while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety protocols in line with HIPAA guidelines. Effective communication skills combined with customer service expertise; capable of educating patients about their eye health options. Basic understanding of medical coding practices relevant to optometry services; sales experience is a plus for product recommendations. Pay:
$109,771.53 - $132,197.97 per year Application Question(s): Willing to commute from Meridian, ID to Caldwell, ID more than once a week
License/Certification:
Optometry License with the state of Idaho (Required)
