Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial management. This vital role involves overseeing accounting functions, managing financial reporting processes, and supporting the organization's fiscal health. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in various accounting disciplines. Duties Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing. Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards and regulatory requirements. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis. Prepare and review financial reports, statements, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making. Lead internal controls development and perform regular audits to maintain financial integrity. Oversee cash management activities, including cash flow forecasting and bank reconciliations. Coordinate regulatory reporting requirements for governmental agencies and ensure adherence to all financial policies. Implement and maintain effective budgeting processes while monitoring variances against forecasts. Supervise , recruit, and train accounting and purchasing staff. Experience Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role. Experience with management of staff members. Strong background in public accounting, corporate accounting, or financial management roles with a focus on technical accounting concepts. Demonstrated expertise in cash management, account reconciliation, financial analysis, and report writing. Excellent understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles, debits & credits, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger management. Knowledge of computers and networks as well as the ability to operate these systems. Relevant certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) are advantageous but not mandatory.
