Job Description

We are a small company that provides online store solutions for companies with branded merchandise. The Financial Manager is a hands-on role to prepare and manage the financial activities and reporting for multiple, interrelated companies, plus provide support in related operational areas such as human resources and facilities management. This position should have a solid grasp of accounting and tax principles and processes, facility with accounting software, the ability to plan, organize and multitask, a keen eye for detail and ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced, growing small company environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
○ Manage all accounting operations, including general ledgers, invoicing/receivables/credits, payables, treasury, cash management/bank reconciliations, insurance, fixed asset activity, payroll, and tax reporting, working with outside accountants as appropriate. ○ Establish and continuously improve accounting systems, processes and procedures ○ Provide financial analytic support including development of budgets, reporting of variances to budgets, making recommendations for cost savings and operational and productivity improvements, analyze capital improvements ○ Assist operations in areas such as facility management, shipping and inventory control ○ Provide human resource support particularly with payroll, benefits plans, new hire processing, related compliance reporting
Job Requirements:
○ Ability to learn, implement and utilize accounting software ○ Possess knowledge of GAAP and accounting procedures ○ Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and multitask ○ Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills ○ Meticulous attention to detail ○ Ability to adapt to changing job requirements in a fast-paced environment ○ Ability to work with others in a team environment
Education and Experience:
○ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance ○ Minimum six to eight years' quality experience in accounting and bookkeeping ○ Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Outlook ○ Understanding of US GAAP and complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition and cost accounting
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
