Job Description

Financial Planning Analyst
The Financial Planning Analyst will serve as a key member of the finance leadership team and will provide key financial insight and analysis to support and enable the organization's short and long-term growth and profitability. This role will be responsible for analysis of monthly financial performance with focus on profit & loss and cash flow, which includes preparation and communication of MTE's financial performance to senior management and to functional leads. This role will also provide recurring analysis on product sales & margins, business and market segments, operating costs and key capital investments. The individual in this role will be analytical, personable, and possess strategic acumen in order to partner with the VP of Finance, Monroe Truck Equipment and other business leaders to provide financial modeling and insights necessary for strong strategic decision-making relative to actions that drive growth opportunities Responsibilities
Forecast profit and loss; Net working capital & cash flow; including short and long-term financial forecasting based on strategic scenarios
Complete monthly, quarterly, annual, and periodic reporting to MTE management & it's parent; as well as providing management reports to senior management and functional leads
Provide revenue, product margin, operating expense, balance sheet and cash flow analysis with narrative on findings and opportunities
Partner with Senior Management, VP of Finance & Business Analyst to provide key metrics and other analytics to identify actionable insights to enable timely decision-making and appropriate actions
Manage the Annual Budget preparation process
Complete pro-forma financial models to enable evaluation of decision options to support strategic decision-making
Complete analysis as needed for the senior management and organization
Qualifications
Have at least 5+ years of experience in a related field with exposure to all levels of the organization
Possess strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to prioritize with a high level of accuracy
Can translate financial data into business insights or objectives to all levels of the organization with confidence
Have experience with various financial systems, including implementation of new systems, and are strong in Excel
Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing and interpreting financial statements and related information
Can present and provide guidance to various levels of management across disciplines
Possess strong Microsoft Office skills (proficient in Excel & PowerPoint)
