Serve Credit Union is seeking a professional, service-focused individual to join our team as a Financial Servcies Officer. As a Financial Services Officer, you will build relationships with our members, assist with their financial needs, and deliver exceptional service across all delivery channels. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, building trusted relationships, and providing knowledgeable financial guidance through a variety of member interactions. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who can effectively multi-task and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. From consumer and mortgage lending to opening new accounts and educating members on products and services, you will help support the financial well-being of our members and their families. Key Responsibilities:
Assists new and existing members with opening accounts, establishing membership, and identifying appropriate products and services to meet their needs. Processes consumer, credit card, and mortgage loan applications from start to finish, including underwriting, decisioning, documentation, and closing. Evaluates and underwrites loan applications using sound judgment and decision-making skills in compliance with credit union policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations. Communicate loan decisions clearly and provide guidance to members regarding credit options and financial solutions. Coordinates and processes loan closings, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and completed in a timely manner. Identifies opportunities to offer additional products (GAP, Warranty, Debt Protection) and services that meet members' needs and strengthen relationships. Counsels members regarding credit history and offers appropriate solutions. Serves as backup to the teller line, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of routine member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, examine checks for endorsements and any other member service transactions, as needed. Assists members with credit card, debit card, and account history inquiries, including processing requests for wire transfers, ACH originations, and automatic payments. Maintain compliance with credit union policies, procedures, and all applicable state and federal regulations. Process GAP, Warranty and Debt Protection claims. Provides IRA transaction support, including contributions, distributions, and transfers. Education, Experience & Skills Associate Degree Problem solver -ability to resolve and assist member complaints as they occur Ability to multi-task Familiarity with industry's rules and regulations Excellent interviewing skills and able to communicate effectively through excellent interpersonal and telephone skills Ability to achieve sales targets and production goals Result driven and member focused Attention to detail The ability to work both independently and in a team environment are required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Professional appearance and attitude Ability to work under pressure Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds
