Serve Credit Union is seeking a professional, service-focused individual to join our team as a Member Service Representative. As a Member Service Representative, you will play an important role in building relationships with our members, assisting with their financial needs, and creating positive experiences across all delivery channels. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, helping others, and delivering exceptional service through a variety of member interactions. From processing transactions to educating members on products and services, you will play an important role in supporting the financial well-being of our members and their families. Key Responsibilities:
Delivers professional and consistent service to members across all delivery channels, including in person, phone, email, and secure messaging. Processes routine member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, cash advances, loan payments, shared branching transactions, and coin machine transactions. Verifies checks for proper endorsements and reviews transaction details for accuracy, completeness, and validity. Processes wire requests, night deposits, automatic transfers, ACH origination requests, and other account-related transactions. Gathers and documents information for Term Share Deposit (CD) and other sub-account requests and submits documentation through The Shield. Assists members with debit card inquiries and processes card orders, including instant issue requests and card closures. Demonstrates the ability to accurately count and balance currency, coin, and checks. Redeems savings bonds and processes member check orders. Performs account maintenance, including updates to products and services, ordering debit cards, and closing accounts or memberships as requested. Ensures all transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with credit union policies and procedures. • Balances cash drawers and transactions daily, maintaining proper cash levels and adhering to established cash handling policies. Responsible for maintaining appropriate cash levels and sound cash controls and procedures for the cash recycler. Maintains working knowledge of credit union products and services to identify opportunities to meet members' needs. Assist team members in resolving member issues and operational questions in a timely manner. Education, Experience & Skills High school diploma or equivalent required Self-Starter Strong math and logic skills Problem solver -ability to resolve and assist member complaints as they occur Ability to multi-task Familiarity with industry's rules and regulations Excellent communication skills Attention to detail The ability to work both independently and in a team environment are required. Professional appearance and attitude Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds Ability to work under pressure
