- Fine Gardener For over 35 years, John's Landscape Service, Inc. has enhanced the beauty and value of residential, commercial, and institutional properties in and around Greater Boston with our landscape design, installation, and maintenance services. The position will focus on fine gardening from boutique gardens and container displays to larger estates . As a Fine Gardener, you'll be more than just a landscaper - you'll be an artist, a sculptor, a caretaker of living masterpieces. You'll work within established gardens, nurturing their elegance and character through meticulous care and creative flair. This isn't just about planting and weeding; it's about crafting textures, layers, colors, and forms that inspires awe and reflects your unique botanical artistry.
Responsibilities:
    Garden Maintenance:
    Tend to established gardens with an expert hand, performing delicate tasks like pruning, deadheading, and weeding with meticulous precision.
      Enhancements:
      Enhance the beauty of existing landscapes with creative plantings curated with our landscape designers and hoticulturalists, ensuring harmonious color combinations and balanced compositions.
        Plant Health Care:
        Diagnose and address plant health concerns, nurturing their well-being with a keen understanding of their needs.
          Container Gardening:
          Install and maintain exterior seasonal containers and interior containers / living features.
            Continued Education:
            Stay up-to-date on horticultural trends and best practices, constantly honing your skills and expanding your botanical knowledge.
              Client Interaction:
              Interact with clients as necessary thoughout installation and mainternance visits, understanding their vision and exceeding their expectations while recording notes for future, long-term success.
              Qualifications:
              • Minimum 2 years of experience in professional gardening or a related field (e.g., nursery, botanical garden).
              • Strong understanding of horticultural principles and plant identification.
              • Proven ability to handle delicate tasks with precision and care.
              • Keen eye for design and aesthetic, with a passion for creating visually stunning landscapes.
              • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients and colleagues.
              • Self-motivated and highly organized, capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks.
