Fire Alarm and Security Technician

About us DirecTec LLC is a locally owned, customer-centric , security solutions business in Somerset County, PA that services 10+ surrounding counties. What is "security solutions"? It is a mix between an Information Technology company and an Electrical Contractor . We are innovative and utilize the latest product technologies in CCTV, access control, fire alarms, and other cabling/networking services. We are seeking an experienced Technician to join our company. The successful candidate will be able responsible for installing, programming, repairing, and maintaining fire alarm and security systems in commercial buildings.

Responsibilities:

Install and maintain fire alarm and security systems with assistance of other technicians and managers Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fire alarm and security systems. Conduct system testing to ensure proper functioning and compliance with regulations. Provide technical support to customers and staff. Participate in ongoing training to stay current with new technologies and industry standards and participate in training newer staff. Keep work area neat, organized, and in good working order. Travel to sites within a 90 mile radius. Work four 10-hour days with occasional overtime. (3 day weekends are typical)

Requirements:

3 years of work experience in the security field, or similar industry. Knowledge of electrical systems and circuits Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Drivers license, ability to pass drug testing, and obtain school clearances Nicet certifications in Fire Alarms, preferred Additional benefits upon successful performance: A company vehicle and fuel card
