Fire Alarm Technician

Job Description:

Brinton Fire & Security is seeking a highly organized and skilled Maintenance and Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, a solid background in general maintenance, and the ability to assist with electrical tasks. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and the safety of our clients through diligent maintenance and support of our fire and security systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks across the facility, including electrical work and general repairs. Assist with electrical maintenance and repair tasks as needed on job sites. Support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fire alarm and security systems. Maintain detailed and accurate records of maintenance activities using computer-based systems. Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance needs. Uphold Brinton Fire & Security's standards for cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role. Strong computer skills. Familiarity with maintenance management software a plus Basic knowledge and experience in electrical work. Ability to assist with fire alarm and security system maintenance and repairs. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently. Good physical condition and the ability to lift heavy objects. Exceptional work history references demonstrating reliability and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in electrical work or a related field. Experience with fire alarm and security systems. Technical training or certifications in general maintenance.

Work Environment:

This position involves a mix of indoor and outdoor work. The Maintenance Technician must be comfortable working in various environments and conditions, including tight spaces and at heights when necessary.
