Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Alarm Technician to join our team at California Fire Detection (CFD). The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. The Fire Alarm Technician will perform service and inspections on fire alarm systems for our service customers and work closely with our service department and project managers. Ideal candidates will have Experience with AutoCall, Siemens and/or Honeywell and be State or
NICET II
certified. As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding lives and property by ensuring that fire alarm systems are functioning correctly.Responsibilities/Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or in a related field such as electrical service technician or fire sprinkler fitting required Familiarity with system design principles for fire alarm installations. Ability to detect issues through careful observation during inspections. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail when interpreting schematics and technical documents. Relevant certifications in fire alarm inspection or related fields are preferred but not mandatory. Able to lift/move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds. Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders; scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc. Experience using Building Reports Inspection Software and PDA Experience with AutoCall, Siemens and/or Honeywell Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Proficient in the use of personal computers. Enroll in the WBFAA Apprenticeship Program or hold State Certification/NICET II. Be Self Motivated, hardworking, and detail oriented. Be aTEAM PLAYER
