Fire Sprinkler / Fire Alarm Estimator will collaborate with sales executives to build and implement a successful bid strategy. Our estimators focus on new construction and existing systems projects. Members of this team will also support Smart Building integration projects. As a Fire Estimator, you will: Interpret customer requirements as communicated in plans and specifications. Consult with sales and recommend better value engineered project approaches and technical solutions. Focus on design and price, and research scope and make suggested product substitutions to meet performance specifications. Calculate, understand, and communicate product, installation, and commissioning risk factors before and during cost reviews. Centralize estimating resources and simplifying portions of scope. Develop sequence of operations and scope of work. Influence product selection to include 3rd party products. Understand general contract construction specifications. Comply with customer and code requirements. Coordinate handoff of estimating design to estimators. Align with local operations team during cost review and technical handover meetings. Assist sales executives in communication with customers and/or estimators. Differentiate Siemens from the competition with innovative proposals. You will make an impact with these qualifications:Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with fire sprinkler and special extinguishing systems 5+ years of experience with fire alarm, mass notification, smoke control, and special extinguishing systems 5+ years of experience designing Networked Architecture for Fire Alarm Systems 5+ years of experience designing fire alarm system integrations into other Building Systems (e.g., Security, Automation, Mechanical, Communication) Must be able to demonstrate: Knowledge of building codes, regulations and building construction process Proficiency in Microsoft Office Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship High school diploma or state-recognizedGED Preferred Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor's degree 7+ years of experience with new and existing system construction design, installation, and code requirements Working knowledge of AutoCAD, BlueBeam, and Microsoft Power Apps Ready to create your own journey?
