Firefighter / Community Risk Reduction Specialist

The Town of Kennebunkport is seeking a motivated, service-oriented professional to join our team as a Firefighter / Community Risk Reduction Specialist. This position supports the Fire Department in three key areas: Emergency Response Respond to fire, rescue, medical, and related emergency calls as needed Participate in training, drills, and emergency preparedness activities Maintain readiness of apparatus, equipment, and facilities Fire Prevention & Community Safety Conduct fire and life safety inspections Deliver public education and outreach programs Support smoke alarm, injury prevention, and risk reduction initiatives Work with businesses, residents, schools, and vulnerable populations to improve safety Administrative Support Maintain records, reports, training documentation, and compliance files Assist with scheduling, payroll coordination, purchasing, and department communications Support the Fire Chief with operational and administrative projects This is a full-time, non-exempt position generally working weekday business hours.
