First Aid/CPR Class Instructor

Duties Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that effectively teach first aid, CPR, and related emergency response skills Conduct classroom instruction for various groups, including adults, youth, and community members, ensuring clear understanding of course material Demonstrate proper techniques for administering first aid and performing CPR using mannequins and other training tools Assess participant progress through practical demonstrations and knowledge assessments Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment that encourages active participation Keep accurate records of course attendance, certifications issued, and student progress Stay current with the latest first aid and CPR guidelines by participating in ongoing training and professional development Qualifications Proven experience in teaching or instructing adult education classes, preferably in health or safety fields Strong knowledge of first aid procedures, CPR techniques, and emergency response protocols Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex concepts to diverse audiences Prior experience as a lifeguard or in swimming-related roles is highly desirable Skilled in lesson planning, classroom management, and public speaking to engage learners effectively Ability to demonstrate proficiency in CPR and first aid through practical application during training sessions Valid certifications in CPR, First Aid, Lifeguarding (preferred), along with current adult education or teaching credentials if applicable Join us in making a difference by empowering others with essential lifesaving skills!
