Hinton, VA, 22831 Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced First Process / PIT Lead Trainer to join our team in Hinton, VA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and delivering training programs focused on the first process operations and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) safety and operation. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication including fluency in English and Spanish, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities Develop, coordinate, and deliver comprehensive training programs for first process (Evisceration, CAS and Live Hang) operations and PIT usage. Conduct hands-on training sessions and classroom instruction to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures. Evaluate trainee performance and provide constructive feedback to improve skills and knowledge. Maintain up-to-date training materials and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with operations and safety teams to identify training needs and implement improvements. Ensure all PIT operators are certified and adhere to safety protocols. Monitor and report on training effectiveness and compliance metrics. Proven animal welfare compliance Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in industrial operations or safety preferred. Proven experience in training, preferably in first process operations and PIT operation. Strong knowledge of Powered Industrial Truck operation and OSHA safety standards. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Valid PIT certification and experience operating various types of industrial trucks.
