Job Description

General Information This is routine clerical work of an accounting nature which includes the application of bookkeeping principles and practices in maintaining financial records. Jurisdictions Starting Salary Mobile County $37,569 City of Prichard $18,912 City of Chickasaw $19,860 City of Saraland $35,759 Mobile Area Water and Sewer System $41,470 Mobile County Health Department $34,036 Mobile Housing Authority $37,570 Prichard Water Works and Sewer Board $35,759 Utilities Board of Bayou La Batre $35,759 Applicants must pass an examination in order to qualify for this position. Details regarding the examination will be emailed to candidates who meet the requirements set out below. Requirements Minimum Qualification Requirements Graduation from a standard senior high school, or the successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test, including or supplemented with coursework in accounting, bookkeeping, and general office procedures and preferably some clerical and public contact experience; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.
