AWC is a resident master's degree program for senior military/civilian leaders from the U.S. and partner nations. The selectee would develop wargame scenarios and related curriculum, train faculty and student facilitators, manage wargame materials, support wargame efforts in electives and the capstone exercise, while serving as part of the Department of Strategy doing appropriate teaching, research, and service. The department receives financial support for research, conference attendance, and professional development. The initial appointment may be up for 3 years and is renewable. Starting salary is between $100,558-$131,266 annually. The position should be considered equivalent to tenure-track.
