Fitter/Welder

Job Summary Manufacturing company in Gallaway, TN is looking for fitters to join their dynamic team. The Fitter/Fabricator is responsible for fitting, assembling, and welding structural frameworks, components, and materials such as angle iron, wide flange (WF) sections, and other steel shapes and assemblies. This position involves interpreting drawings and specifications to fabricate and assemble metal structures that meet recognized industry standards and customer expectations. All work must be performed in alignment with the company's mission and values, maintaining strict adherence to established Quality and Safety procedures to ensure high-quality, reliable products. This is a safety-sensitive position, defined as one in which the employee's responsibilities directly impact the health and safety of themselves, coworkers, and/or the public, including the end user of our products. All production and production support positions fall under this category. 1st shift hours are 6am to 5:30pm Monday through Thursday, Friday 6am to 2:30pm and Saturday 6am to 12pm as needed. 2nd shift hours are 5:30pm to 5:00am Monday through Thursday and 2:30pm to 11pm on Friday. Saturday hours are 12pm to 6pm as needed. Requirements Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening test. Ability to apply common sense understanding and basic mathematics. Must be able to produce clean and accurate welds and pass required weld qualification tests (FCAW, GMAW, Stud processes in the flat position). Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance with the ability to work overtime and weekends as needed. Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Willingly takes direction from supervisors and lead personnel. Adheres to quality procedures and demonstrates strong safety awareness and prevention. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs safely and repetitively.
