Summary We are seeking a skilled structural steel fabricator to join our dynamic team at Crystal Steel Fabricators, Inc. working the second shift in our Gallaway, TN shop. In this role, you will be responsible for welding and fitting various steel components, ensuring that all work meets our high standards of quality and safety. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our projects across multiple locations. $21-32 per hour + 10% 2nd shift differential Monday

• Thursday, 4:30 pm
• 3:00 am (10 hrs/day); Friday, 2:30
• 11:00 pm (8 hrs)

Responsibilities:

Lay out, fit up, beveling, grinding, welding and other fabrication duties involved in the structural steel fabrication process. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to fabricate components accurately. Operate forklifts, overhead cranes & cutting/heating torches in a safe and efficient manner. Ensure compliance and quality excellence by conducting quality inspections of finished products to ensure they meet industry standards, codes and customer expectations. Actively contribute to ensuring a safe working environment by identifying & correcting potential hazards, participating in weekly safety meetings, and maintaining consistent housekeeping and maintenance of work areas. Adhere to all rules of conduct at all times to maintain a safe and positive working environment. Requirements Proven experience as a Welder/Fitter or similar role in the steel fabrication industry. Less experienced candidates are encouraged to apply. Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of welding techniques. Must be able to pass 1G/2G GMAW welding test. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately. Experience operating forklifts and other relevant machinery safely. Knowledge of industry codes and standards related to welding is preferred. Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening test. Can work independently or as a cooperative team player Willingly takes direction from supervisory personnel Adheres to quality procedures and demonstrates strong safety awareness and prevention. Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance. Overtime is required and part of the standard schedule, candidates should expect typical weekly hours to range from 48-55 hours per week. Candidates must be able to work on Saturdays. Schedule is subject to change due to project requirements.
