What they do
A Military Specialist operates and maintains vehicles and mechanical equipment pertinent to mission success, whether on the sea, land or in the air. May monitor communication, detection, or weapons systems during operations. Interprets and evaluates tactical situations, making recommendations to supervisors. May operate weapons targeting, firing, and launch systems whether during combat or peacetime. In addition to their combat training, they have also specialized training in swimming, diving, parachuting, survival, emergency medicine, and foreign languages. Duties include conducting advanced reconnaissance operations and collecting intelligence information; recruiting, training, and equipping friendly forces; conducting raids and invasions on enemy territories; laying and detonating explosives for demolition targets; locating, identifying, defusing, and disposing of ordnance; and operating and maintaining sophisticated communications equipment.

Job Description Job Title:
EOD Instructor Will train EOD techniques and procedures to United States Army students in classroom and field environments, using current doctrinal publications, audiovisual equipment, training aids, and computer-aided instruction in the retraining of students to an established standard. Instructors must possess a minimum of three (3) years of operationally specific experience as an EOD Technician (MOS 89D/E) and must have at least three (3) years specific experience in instructing EOD courses. Professional Certification(s) required for this position are as follows: Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (NAVSCOLEOD) School Graduate Must be a graduate of one (1) of the following: U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Army Common Faculty Development-Instructor Course (CFDIC), Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC), Journeymen Instructor Training (JIT), or Installation Support Cadre Training Course (ISCTC).
Required skillsets and qualifications:
Must be a US citizen. Must possess current SECRET clearance.

Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities. Travel:
Minimal travel for corporate support may occur for this position.
