Job Description
Knight Transport LLC is a family-owned flatbed trucking company based in Auburn, Washington, serving the industry since 1980. We are known for our reliability, safety-first culture, and long-tenured team, reflecting our belief that people are our greatest asset. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Fleet Administrative Assistant to support daily fleet operations working closely with the fleet maintenance Manager. This role plays a key part in coordinating maintenance, compliance, vendor management, and communication between drivers, dispatch, and safety. Candidates with basic knowledge of trucks and auto parts are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Fleet Operations & Maintenance Order and manage truck and trailer parts. Schedule all maintenance and service appointments. Monitor and respond to DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports). Inspect trucks prior to driver assignments. Conduct truck and trailer condition inspections in collaboration with the Safety Director. Vendor & Cost Management Assist in renegotiating vendor pricing and service agreements. Maintain relationships with vendors and service providers. Track and control fleet-related expenses. Compliance & Administrative Duties Prepare fuel tax reports. Manage vehicle licensing and registrations. Maintain accurate fleet records and documentation. Coordination & Communication Work closely with the Dispatch Manager to coordinate scheduling. Communicate with drivers, vendors, and internal teams. Ensure timely follow-up on fleet-related issues.Qualifications Required:
Basic knowledge of trucks and auto parts. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and manage priorities. Knowledge and experience usingMicrosoft Excel Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in trucking, fleet operations, logistics, or transportation. Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with maintenance processes. Experience with DVIRs, DOT compliance, or fleet management systems.Pay:
