Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Fleet Mechanic! This role is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of a variety of fleet vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, is safety-focused, and can work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles (diesel and gas engines) Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge Conduct safety inspections and maintain accurate service records Repair or replace faulty components including brakes, engines, transmissions, cooling systems, suspensions, and electrical systems Perform preventative maintenance and respond to emergency breakdowns Ensure compliance with DOT and company standards Keep shop area clean and organized Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and parts Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training preferred 2+ years of experience as a fleet or diesel mechanic (heavy-duty preferred) Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus) Proficient in using diagnostic tools and repair manuals Ability to lift heavy parts and equipment (up to 50 lbs) Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays 401(k) with company match Uniforms and PPE provided Ongoing training and advancement opportunities How to Apply Submit your resume or email valerie.williams@gogpac.com (912) 303-7336.
