Job Description

Gpac is working with a reputable trailer and equipment company that is seeking a Trailer Technician. Qualified applicants understand the importance of doing a job correctly and the value of satisfied customers. Regular duties include basic diagnostics, service repairs, and modifications on brake systems, wheels, body, and air & electrical systems.
Trailer Technician Responsibilities:
Performs basic diagnostics and both major and minor repairs Completes air and electrical system repairs Diagnose and provide recommendations on repairs Efficient worker able to deliver quality repairs in a timely fashion. Perform inspections on heavy equipment, trucks and trailers per instruction and determine if additional safety or service work is needed. Must have own tools. Maintains a clean work area and accurately records work progress and hours of all work performed. Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
Trailer Technician Qualifications:
3-5+ years mechanical background in heavy-duty trucking, heavy equipment, or similar industry Welding and fabrication experience required Diesel mechanic experience in heavy trucks or heavy equipment is preferred Certifications with brands like Cummins, Navistar, etc. is a huge plus Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment Proficient knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes. Proficient oral and written communication skills. Ability to lift at least 100 lbs. High School Diploma or equivalent experience required A valid CDL or driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Please submit a resume for consideration.
