Job Description

Day Shift:
7:00 AM
  • 4:00 PM (Flexible) Position Summary Provide rapid, field-based diagnostics and repairs to minimize crew downtime.
You are the frontline for equipment reliability, ensuring that mechanical failures do not disrupt jobsite productivity across all assigned branches.
IDEAL FIT FOR GRO
Bilingual Spanish-English a plus 3+ years in mechanical, fleet, or construction equipment repair Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently Valid driver's license (CDL preferred or willing to obtain) Willingness to travel between WA & OR branches
  • Frequent travel required Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in all weather conditions
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Field Diagnostics & Repair:
Respond to on-site breakdowns to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues. Execute repairs or decide if equipment must be returned to the shop for service.
Coordination:
Support the Delivery Driver with equipment swaps and partner with Yard Operations for real-time dispatch and prioritization.
Real-Time Documentation:
Log all diagnostics, repair statuses, and work hours in the fleet management software at the point of work. (
Standard:
"If it's not in the system, it didn't happen." )
Quality Assurance:
Confirm all equipment is safe and fully functional before returning it to operation. Escalate recurring equipment issues to the Fleet & Equipment Manager.
Performance Expectations Efficiency:
Rapid response times and "first-time" fix accuracy.
Clarity:
Proactive communication with Yard, Maintenance, and Field teams.
Operational Discipline:
Work is executed based on operational priority, not convenience.
