JOB TITLE
Flight ParamedicNRP DEPARTMENT
EMS First Flight of WyomingREPORTS TO
EMS Director/ EMS Base SupervisorJOB SUMMARY
To provide optimum critical/emergency care to sick or injured patients transported by aircraft or other vehicle to/from scenes and medical facilities in the region. The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status. They must be able to interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's/area's/department's policies and procedures.JOB REQUIREMENTS
Current Wyoming EMT-Paramedic and National Registry- Paramedic. Montana State Licensed Paramedic
- within 12 months of hire.
EXPERIENCE
Required:
3 years minimum of ALS, critical care experience.Preferred:
3- 5 years of ALS critical care experience as a flight/ground transport paramedic.
- Crew Resource Management
- AMRM (Air Medical Resource Management). Stress recognition and management/resilience. Recognize signs of fatigue. Safety and risk management training. Knowledge of agents, equipment, procedures, and techniques for the provision of emergency and critical care for inter
- facility and scene transports.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
Required:
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)- within 12 months of hire Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- within 12 months of hire
FEMA 100/200/700/800
- within 6 months of hire Certified Flight Paramedic (FP-C)
- within 24 months of hire Current clean Wyoming driver's license.
Preferred:
Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) Certification in Critical Care Emergency Transport Program (CCEMTP) Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) audit or Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC)Location:
