• Free of cost to the employee only Paid vacation time Paid holidays Paid sick/Personal time Gas allowance Weekly pay Retirement plan 401 (k) plan with employer match, automatic enrollment Discount of 20% on an apartment at any one of our properties Yearly Red Wing boot allowance of $175 Overtime pay is available Training and certification opportunities Duties and Responsibilities include: Exhibiting strong commitment to the service needs of the internal and external customer Communicating and working well with both leasing and maintenance staff members Always representing the company in a professional and courteous manner Perform routine maintenance tasks, service requests, turnovers, preventative maintenance to units and common areas as well as any other duties assigned Sharing on-call responsibility Diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical and plumbing related issues Providing own (basic) hand tools Maintaining a clean and safe work environment Attending in-house training as required Maintaining current preventative maintenance property logs The ideal candidate will have: Demonstrate the appropriate and safe use of standard hand and power tools Lifting and moving heavy items (water heaters, appliances, rock salt, etc.

) Be able to shovel and salt as required Perform routine, preventative maintenance Knowledge and practice of a variety of building trade skills Be able to work on step/extension ladders and roofs while following safety protocols Able and willing to lift objects as required Keep track of inventory and maintain a clean and stocked shop Complete work orders in a timely manner Identify safety and hazardous conditions and communicate any issues Follow company operational and safety procedures Ability to work an on-call schedule as required A positive, team-oriented attitude and understand and follow Westover Companies core values Reliable work ethic and dependable transportation; must maintain valid driver's license and working vehicle
