Floor Care Technician Position Summary The Floor Tech will be responsible for the maintenance of all floor areas, and for sustaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. The Floor Tech will remove spots from carpets, perform bonnet and extraction carpet cleaning, dispose of trash, and assist with hazardous waste collection. They will operate floor sweepers, buffers, strippers, canister vacuum cleaners, and shop vacuums, and will wear adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with chemicals and equipment. The Floor Tech's duties will protect patients and visitors by keeping floors free from harmful microorganisms, and being mindful of slip, trip, and fall hazards. He/she will be motivated, meticulous, and able to work with numerous interruptions. Floor Care Technician Position Requirements Education/Experience 10th grade or equivalent preferred No previous experience required Floor Care Technician Work Schedule Days, Evenings, or Nights Shifts. Will require working during the weekends and holidays. Expected to respond in the event of a disaster.
