What You'll Do Complies with established policies and procedures and maintains established standards and practices including the Compliance Program/Code of Conduct. Follows Residents' Rights policies at all times. Complies with infection control, sanitation, and safety regulations. Treats all information about residents, their conditions, situations, needs, and family information as confidential. Supports Frederick Living's mission and values of respect, integrity, compassion, and excellence. Provides excellent customer service to residents, visitors, and staff. Assembles cleaning supplies and equipment and checks equipment for proper functioning. Performs floor care tasks according to established procedures, workflow patterns, and routines including: Vacuuming carpeted areas throughout the facility. Cleaning hard surface floors throughout the facility. Stripping, waxing, buffing, and burnishing floors. Carpet extraction and spot cleaning as needed. Operating auto scrubbers and other floor care equipment safely and effectively. Collects and disposes of trash and biohazard waste throughout the community following established safety and infection control procedures. Responds promptly to spills and sanitation concerns to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff. Performs light housekeeping duties in resident areas and common spaces as assigned. Cleans resident bathrooms and public restrooms as needed. Cleans and maintains equipment as necessary and stores equipment properly after use. Monitors floor care product inventory and reports supply needs to supervisor. Identifies and reports equipment malfunctions or repair needs to supervisor. Assists with special cleaning projects, furniture moves, and community events as assigned. Assists other Environmental Services and Maintenance team members as needed. Attends department meetings, in-service training programs, and safety training sessions. Performs all duties and responsibilities in an effective, cooperative, and professional manner. Comes to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrates dependability and punctuality. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Supports a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that promotes resident dignity and quality of life. Secondary Functions Assists the Housekeeping Department with additional tasks as assigned by supervisor. Assists the Maintenance Department with related tasks as assigned by the Environmental Services Manager. What We're Looking For Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous housekeeping and/or floor care experience preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to cooperate and communicate effectively with residents, staff, and visitors. Ability to operate large pieces of equipment used in floor care and housekeeping functions. Mechanical ability to perform minor maintenance and repairs to floor care and housekeeping equipment. Ability to prioritize tasks and respond appropriately to urgent situations. Valid driver's license preferred.
